How STEM Affects My Brain Chemistry

In today's world if you heard the word "STEM" they will think that you are smart, hardworking, and has no life. But for me, if I heard that word I think about deadlines, projects, quizzes, summative tests, sleepless nights, cramming, and another quiz. That's why as a STEM student affects how I think about everyday life.

Every day provides new difficulties and chances for progress as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) student. A STEM student's life is both exciting and difficult, from combining schoolwork and doing school activities to maintaining a healthy work-life balance. In this blog, I will tell you the good side and the bad side that I experience inside this strand.

Let's focus on the bad side first.

First of all this strand gives you a lot of work that will take you a lot of hours, days, and the worst part is that sometimes your whole month will focus on that one project. Next is that you need to be a fast learner because it is happening so fast sometimes and some people thinks if you are inside this strand you must learn it very quickly or else you don't deserve or are not capable of this strand. I experience this because sometimes I cannot keep up with the lesson and struggles. Also, if they don't get what they are expecting they will think that you are useless and will think that all your opinions are invalid. Lastly, having low scores can make a great impact not only on you but the judgment of people around you.

But these bad sides can't stop you from having your dream. The saying of James Owen is, "Bad things can happen, and often do--but they only take up a few pages of your story, and anyone can survive a few pages". So let's move forward to the good side of STEM.

Yes, you will encounter many sleepless days or nights. Sacrificing your time for a project, but little did you know while making that project gives you a lot of knowledge. Experiencing a whole new different chapter and once you finish it you will feel good and excitement.

Well, that is all I can think of. I myself suffer a lot in here but at least I learn new things and let's say my student life change. Because I am a lazy person and just go with the flow but now I sometimes study and I am not contented with just a "This is alright" project. I am Raphael Julius Q. Sibulo from section 11-STEM-4. I may be lazy and always play a lot of games but I am still a good person who has a kind heart and promise that I can finish my job without any worries.
